Family Involvement Conference Logo 10-16-15The School and Family Partnerships Office is sponsoring a family involvement conference on Saturday, November 14, 2015. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD.

The theme of this fall’s conference is “Engage, Empower, Educate: Families & Schools Together.” Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Arlotto will join participants for breakfast and will bring greetings. Aziz Abdur-Ra’oof, educational consultant, will deliver the keynote address.

Participants will be able to choose three one-hour workshops to attend from a variety of different topics, such as “Move, Move, Move: Engaging the Mind and Body,” Stress Busters Through the Ages: Help Kids Cope with Worries and Concerns,” “Using a Growth Mindset to Cultivate Your Child’s Potential,” and “BIG Kids Can Still be BIG Readers.” To view the registration flyer, including all workshop options, go to and click on Current Events.
