TEN CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS AMONG TOP 10 AT NATIONAL SKILLSUSA COMPETITION

Ten AACPS career and technology students placed in the top ten in their respective categories at the 50th annual SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference, recently held in Louisville. The event features 89 career and technical fields through which 6,000 of the nation’s best and brightest career and technology education (CTE) students showcase their abilities.

The following AACPS students won awards in their respective categories:

  • Chandler Kerr, CAT-North – Gold Medal – Graphic Communications
  • Ryan Tauber, CAT-North – Gold Medal – Industrial Motor Control
  • Josephine Wolfe, CAT-North – Bronze Medal – Commercial Baking
  • William Oller, CAT-North – Bronze Medal – Job Skill Demonstration A
  • Jordan Bergeson-Keller, CAT-South – 4th Place – Automotive Service Technology
  • Marc Alvin Al-Os, CAT-South – 5th Place – Internetworking
  • Timothy Tenney – CAT-South – 7th Place – Sheet Metal
  • Austin Nicholson – CAT-North – 8th Place – Action Skills
  • Mercedes Smith – CAT-South – 8th Place – Nail Care
